The Daedalus Project: Player Life-Cycle

The Daedalus Project has an interesting article on Player Life-Cycles in MMORPGs. I would put myself at the Recovery stage. I would drop WoW, but it affordably meets my entertainment needs. For my next cheapest alternative, reading, I would have to spend a minimum of four times what it costs me to play WoW.

I would love to move on to another MMORPG, but there’s not much else out there. I would need to spend the money to buy myself a much better video card and I’d probably have to upgrade Jaimie’s computer significantly. So for now I play WoW in Recovery mode.

Very interesting article. I’m not sure where I would be in the range but I think I learnt a lot by watching the rest of you. Hopefully I won’t have to go through all the levels myself.
