Much as I’ve enjoyed AOE tanking on my paladin, I think I’m going to move her over to being a Healadin instead.
This does not make me a happy camper. I have run endgame as a healer before and I was enjoying doing something different. Paladin AOE tanking/grinding is a lot of fun and it’s different enough from my warrior’s tanking to keep things fresh for me. I have picked up a fair amount of experience as a paladin tank so I feel fairly confident in that role.
On the bright side, I did suspect this was coming. I rolled a paladin specifically so that I could switch to healing at endgame if needed. I have been keeping an eye out for good healing drops/rewards so I have a decent set of healer gear already. The tanks I’d be running with are very good at their role so our group won’t be losing a good tank for a noob paladin healer. (It kind of makes me wish I’d leveled a priest as one of my alts on this server as I would feel far more confident healing as a priest.)
Ah well, we’ll see what happens.
Oh yeah, the real downside would be that I’d be rolling against my dear wife for drops.

No hurt heals by itself. So although we do not choose the ways we are hurt, we can choose the ways we will heal.
