(spoilers for Master of the Fallen Fortress)
Merisiel and Valeros headed north of Sandpoint to investigate an old fortress whose walls had been breached by an earthquake. As they approached the fortress they were attacked by three wild dogs, which they dispatched with ease. Merisiel snuck into the fortress and stabbed a spider to death.
The stench of troglodytes overwhelmed them as they made their way up. One of the troglodytes fled from the battle, but Merisiel and Valeros wandered into a damp room with a shocker lizard. As they fought it, the troglodyte returned with reinforcements. The adventurers fought hard and managed to overcome their foes. They made their way further up and fought a troglodyte priest. Merisiel and Valeros then freed a member of the Pathfinder Society, Balenar Forsend. At the top of the tower they fought a final foe who attacked them aided by a flaming rapier, a giant crocodile, and a swarm of spiders. From the tower they escorted Balenar to Brindensford.
